How to Join Biological and Agricultural Engineering

First-year Students

The application deadline for first year students is November 30th. Applicants may begin working on their UC application on August 1st. The filling period opens November 1st and ends at 11:59pm on November 30th. Learn more about beginning your studies at UC Davis.

Transfer Students

Transferring to UC Davis is a popular option for many students. Though priority is given to students transferring from California community colleges, applications are open to all transfer students. Applications are open from November 1st through 11:59pm on November 30th. Applicants may begin working on their application as soon as August 1st. Learn more about transferring to UC Davis.

Changing Majors

The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering accepts students seeking to change majors who are in good academic standing and meet certain requirements. These guidelines have been established by the College of Engineering to ensure that students are well prepared for their transition and therefore as successful as possible. International Students

There are more than 1,400 international students enrolled at UC Davis. International applicants must also meet the same admission requirements as other applicants. Second Bachelors Students

Biological Systems Engineering is one of only two programs on the UC Davis campus that accepts new undergraduate applicants seeking second bachelor’s degrees. Second baccalaureate applications to the College of Engineering will only be considered if the applicant’s first degree is not in engineering and if the lower division engineering selective major criteria has been completed.
