Biological and Agricultural Engineering
My research interest spans remote sensing (LiDAR and multispectral/hyperspectral imaging), automation, and artificial intelligence (machine learning and deep learning) for crop yield prediction and plant stress detection.
I am currently involved in the following projects:
- Project 1: prediction of nitrogen status in table grape using aerial multispectral imagery
- Project 2: identification of drought stress in turfgrass using remote sensing
- Project 3: developing a canopy profile mapping technique using LiDAR collected by UAV
- Project 4: developing a low-maintenance system to reduce spray drift without limiting the spray and air delivery
