BAE’s Dr. Zhongli Pan elected as President-Elect for Chinese American Food Society

Dr. Zhongli Pan, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at UC Davis and Research Engineer at USDA-ARS-WRRC, has been elected as the President-Elect for the Chinese American Food Society for 2015/16. Founded in 1975, the Chinese American Food Society serves to engage professionals interested in food science and technology and in Chinese culture and to create venues where the food scientists can share and exchange ideas for the advancement of food science and technology. Currently, the organization has more than 250 members from diverse backgrounds including academia, universities, industries, businesses and government agencies. As a president-elect, Dr. Pan will be involved in chairing the Annual Meeting and banquet at IFT, organizing scientific symposia and forums, and publishing the Society’s quarterly newsletters.
