During his recent seminar, Dr. Yiannis Ampatzidis brought up some compelling arguments. According to Ampatzidis, the first agricultural revolution came with mechanization. The second revolution brought agrochemicals such as fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides. The third ushered in genomics and genetic modification.
